back in miami … 05.14.08

if you are wondering if i am still in jamaica i’m not. came back into miami on sunday evening about 8:30 p.m. the flight was 2 hours late. i was surprised at american airlines to be this late. the pilots were not too skillful it seems at landing. it was quite bumpy. good thing they don’t serve meals on the plane any more or this could have been disastrous if you know what i mean. if i have to describe what i mean then this blog is not for you (lol) … i must say i did have a great time in jamaica with family. my mom who lives there is not doing too well and i a bit concerned about her. i will keep you informed and share some highlights of my trip with you. you may want to think of going to jamaica one day for vacation; i might be able to help you …at a cost j/kn

teen unravels plans … 05.14.08

as a teen you are the expert in unraveling almost any and all plans that a person in authority such as parent, teen, boss, and others may put together.  its as if you the teen, went to school to learn how to do these things.   why are you such an expert?  why are you so capable?  if you are a person of authority then you become frustrated and even angry because you are being made a fool of and you are having your authority underminded.  no one likes to be in that position so now you have some options.  what are some options that you have available to you and what would happen if you chose that option?

the launch! … 05.13.08

sitting here in jamaica with family & friends, i’ve decided to launch my blog page. this has been in the making for some time now but as you know, nothing happens before its time. so the time has come. let me introduce you to the direction of my blog and as time goes by, i will tell you more about myself. you will get to know me – my thoughts, goals, & dreams. i will share with you what i have learned so far in my life as a child/youth/adult, husband, dad, youth minister, motivational speaker, workshop/seminar presenter, marriage & family therapist… just to mention a few. as you will notice most of my blogs will have to do with teens & family. do you remember what it was like being a teenager? do you have any regrets as a teen? do you think a whole lot different now than you did as a teenager? let me know.
